What Went Right Today & An Award!

I am linking up with Teresa at Confessions of a Teaching Junkie for her super-uplifting linky party: What Went Right Today?

It was very fun to think about all of the things that did go right and then narrow it down- love those exercises. I may fill this out every couple of days to remind me to stay focused on the happies, not the other depressing news this time of year always brings- like budget cuts, FTE allocation, testing, bleh!!

Ok, onto the positives from my day yesterday:
For the first positive, let me just say I was BLOWN AWAY by how focused my kids were in their work yesterday- it was amazing! It was out 2nd day back from Spring Break, so maybe they were just tired ;) but to see them come back from a week and a half off and jump straight back into the routine sent me straight to Teacher Heaven!
Then, one of my classroom iPods went on the fritz and I was sweating bullets, since this is one of the most exciting parts of our Daily 5. Fortunately for me, the reason the author sounded so wacky was that the button had been pressed to play it at half speed. Once I clicked it back to full speed, it was a-ok. Btw, who puts a button on the main screen to play something at half-speed? Ugh!

Last, my favorite pet project is Brain Breaks and I finally got my own file spiffied up enough to upload to TpT for others to enjoy. I was a bit nervous, since I have only uploaded simple freebies before, but I am excited about the feedback and it was fun to make my first sales as a TpT seller :) If you want to read more about this project, see my post HERE and leave a comment for the chance to get a free copy!

If you haven't yet checked out Jenny's site, you must- she is a 2nd grade teacher and has wonderful ideas and ah-ma-zing photos to accompany her posts. Her blog is inspiring and FUN!
