I am linking up with Farley for her world-famous Currently:

March has already come in like a lion for me-- not so much with the weather, but just with all of the craziness in my schedule! We have parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday and Thursday after school this week, and on Wednesday is the Impact on Education Awards Ceremony (I immediately break out into a thick sweat every time I think about it!), so I already feel tired and it's not even Monday! Our state tests pick up on Monday, too, so that's a big Debbie Downer to our week... bleh :-/
On top of all of that, we are living in our den/basement as we're getting our old, awful, nasty carpet out of the house and replacing it with clean, loverly laminate wood flooring. I couldn't be happier, but I also don't recommend spending all weekend with a two-year-old in a small den ;) Little Girl and I were dancing to some of my class' favorite Watch and Wiggle Brain Breaks to get the energy out, and now I am more tired than she is :)
Overall, I think it's clear that I am starting my own mental countdown to Spring Break ;)
In this craziness, I realized that my one-year blogiversary had come and gone! March 1st was the day last year I started this wonderful journey and I am so incredibly grateful I did! You have all been such a wonderful sounding board, inspiration, and community of friends and I am so incredibly appreciative of each and every one of your comments, likes, feedback, and more. THANK YOU!
I am throwing a little giveaway for this week, in honor of this milestone, and if you'd like the chance to win any 3 items from my TpT Store, a $20 Starbucks Gift Card, and a $20 TpT Gift Certificate, just enter below!
I made the blog comment entry about a favorite motivational quote you might have, since I am currently loving quotes and would love to get the email pick-me-ups this week ;)
Happy weekend and thank you again for such an AMAZING year!!
xoxo

ReplyDeleteI think my favourite motivational quote at the moment is the one I'm reinforcing with my class: It's ok to make mistakes, but it's not OK to not try. (I have quite a few little ones who like to give up straight away, and I think it's important to remind them that they're allowed to make mistakes!)

Congrats!! My motivational quote is from Psalm 139.
ReplyDelete13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
